Walking the red carpet to promote his new flick, Savages, Monday in Los Angeles, Travolta, 58, stuck close by Preston's side, pausing to share an awkward smooch for photographers.
Monday's very public outing was the couple of 21 years' first since news broke that a former Royal Carribbean cruse room attendant sued the actor in 2009, accusing him of inappropriate sexual conduct. According to court papers, the attendant alleges Travolta stripped off a robe and pushed against him, offering him $12,000 to stay quiet.
Two other men have come forward alleging Travolta acted inappropriately in their presence. Accusing Travolta of sexual battery, 40-year-old massage therapist John Truesdale found his identity exposed in mid-May. In his initial lawsuit, married father Truesdale claimed Travolta sexually assaulted him in his hotel room "on or about" January 28. Truesdale recently withdrew his $2 million sexual battery suit against the Pulp Fiction actor. A first accuser, known as John Doe No. 1, has yet to be revealed.
Travolta's lawyer, Marty Singer, has vehemently denied both plaintiffs' accusations. "Not one penny has been paid nor do we have any intention to pay any money for these ridiculous and false claims," he told The New York Daily News in a statement.
The actor's Hairspray costar, Nikki Blonsky, admires Travolta -- the father of Ella, 12, Benjamin, 2, and the late Jett, with Preston -- for staying strong in the wake of the allegations. "John is so resilient and so amazing. He's one of those actors who will just never go away," Blonsky, 23, told Us Weekly at the Savages premiere.
Continues Blonsky: "What nobody knows about John Travolta is he is the most loving human being in the world and he's the best dad, right next to my dad. People should be focusing on his amazing qualities as a parent and a husband and the impact that he makes in other people's lives."
