LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- This weekend, John Corbett and Nia Vardalos are re-teaming up on the big screen in "I Hate Valentine's Day."

In 2002, their pairing was box office gold in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," and John revealed to Parade one reason the kissing scenes turned out so well.

"When we were making 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding,' before our first kissing scene, I went to Nia's trailer and knocked on her door and said, 'Are you nervous about this kiss?' She said, 'Yeah, kind of.' So I went, 'We should just do it now and get it out of the way so we're not doing it for the first time in front of the crew,'" he recounted in the new interview. "So I went into her trailer and we gave each other a big movie kiss. And then we looked at each other and said, 'Are you good?' And we were."

Although their nerves raced a little on the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" set, the longtime friends were more relaxed while filming their big screen make-out session for "I Hate Valentine's Day."

"All through the first week of shooting 'I Hate Valentine's Day,' Nia was like, 'I'm going to kiss you again,'" John recounted. "We were laughing and then came the big scene. Nia yelled, 'Action' and we had that moment like, 'Oh no. I'm going to kiss my friend. This is awkward.' But it was better than the first one."

Throughout his career, John has played a host of memorable characters including Toni Collette's loving husband Max in Showtime's "United States of Tara," hippie DJ Chris Stephens in "Northern Exposure," and Carrie Bradshaw's second big love interest -- furniture designer Aidan Shaw in "Sex and The City." But each character has had one thing in common - none of them have appeared nude on screen.

"I won't be naked on TV or in a movie because my mom still watches everything I do," John revealed. "I turned them down when they wanted me to do nude scenes on 'Sex and the City.' I said, 'My mom will be watching. I can't do it.' But as long as I'm not naked, I don't care who else she sees who's naked."

    it is always asked by people in society who are the parents of that person. the reason as to why they ask so is value the morals which your parents taught u. there fore if john's parents taught him good morals we will see from the decission he will make.

    I've been crushin'on this guy since he was on Northern Exposure. Tall, handsome -- yum. But I would rather leave 'all of him' to mystery. It isn't necessary for me to see all of him to crush on him.
