Joaquin Phoenix has really quit acting.
He showed up at the L.A. premiere of his new movie
Two
Lovers on Saturday ... with "good bye" written on his
knuckles.
"I think it's just moving on. It's rediscovering something else,"
said the budding musician.
"It's like greener pastures, you know what I mean?" he told The
Associated Press. "And so, I'm just going to try and like, I'll
just be doing the other thing. ... Hopefully, I will emotionally
impact you with that, as well."
Phoenix learned to play guitar and did his own singing to play
country legend Johnny Cash in
Walk the Line," for which he
received a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

His publicist added that Phoenix has been directing music videos in
recent years.
Phoenix first left fans wondering whether he was joking last week
after telling reporters at a fundraiser that he giving up acting
for music.
