It looks like actor Jim Carrey is ready to leave his home in Malibu. The "Dumb and Dumber" star has put his luxurious home up for sale with a list price of $13.9 million. According to sources, he is looking to complete the sale in relatively quick fashion. The comedian purchased the 5-bedroom mansion in 2002 for a little less than $8 million. Given its prime location on the beach, selling the home should be a relative breeze. However, Carrey will be leaving behind some pretty famous neighbors. Here is a look at some of the stars that live in the same Malibu Colony area where the actor is selling his home.
The "Inception" star lives it up with two homes in Malibu, including an amazing home in the Malibu Colony community. He purchased his home right around the same time as Carrey, paying a whopping $6 million for the digs. However, it seems like Leo is itching to leave the community as well. This past May, the actor decided to put his 7-bedroom palace up for rent. The price tag for having Leo as a landlord starts at around $75,000 per month.
The two-time Oscar-winning actor has been a resident of Malibu for a long time. The "Saving Private Ryan" star purchased a home in 1991 for a price of about $3.25 million. The mansion, once owned by director John Frankenheimer, sits on the beach and features separate living quarters for housekeepers and guests.
Arguably the most famous director in history, we shouldn't be surprised that Spielberg would own an incredible home in this prestigious neighborhood. The "Jurassic Park" director purchased his oceanfront property in 1989 for a little over $3 million, and the value has only skyrocketed over the last 23 years. In 2011, soccer star David Beckham and wife Victoria decided to rent the one-acre property at a cost of $150,000 a month.
