Jeweler: John Mayer Didn't Buy Engagement Ring for Jen Aniston

Britain's Daily Mirror reports the singer, 31, approached jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to design the bling, which Schwartz's office denies to Us.

The Mirror says Schwartz -- who has created baubles for Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce -- was working on a vintage-style classic ring with an 18-carat flawless diamond for the rocker. "Money is no object to John," the paper cited a source saying.

Aniston, 40, doesn't seem to be holding her breath for a proposal.

"Whoever said that every relationship has to last forever?" Aniston told the UK Daily Mail Monday. "That's hoping for too much. I think every relationship is a world unto itself."
When asked if she believed in perfect relationships, she continued, "I don't have one, and I don't think it exists. We are just fooling ourselves if we think it does."
