Jewel -- whose husband, Ty Murray , is one of the final four stars competing on DWTS -- took the former Bachelor contestant to task for not performing on this week's show due to an injury.
"I think the rule about 'judging a rehearsal if the person is too injured to perform' was weird both times they have used it," wrote on her hubby's MySpace blog.
The rule, which states that a contestant too injured to compete on the live show will be judged on their rehearsal footage, was used Monday when Rycroft suffered a rib injury and was in too much pain to perform. It was also put into practice earlier in the season when Steve-O hurt his back and couldn't dance.

"If you're too hurt to compete, then you can't compete," she wrote.
The singer, who was originally slated to compete on the eighth season of DWTS but backed out of the competition due to a knee injury, joked that if she "were to be on the show, I might change my mind."

Still, the fan of rodeos and bull riding thinks that Rycroft shouldn't have gotten through to the next round.
"As bad as I felt for Melissa, who I hope feels better and comes back, I'm used to our cowboy athletes that live by the rule: 'Ride hurt or dont get a score,'" Jewel wrote. "It may seem harsh, but it seems like the only way to keep things honest."

ItalianLadyJewel has a lot of nerve, she was injured and could not dance and what Melissa has are different injuries but who is she to say anything, she just wants her husband to win and she also went into the practice with Ty and his partner I think to make sure nothing was going on there, she seems like the Jealous type to me. Mr. AwsomeBottom line is Melissa has had the sympathy vote since the bachlor and to all the naive and gullible people out there that show is scripted. Now shes getting sympathy votes for her injury. Marine ChicaI feel bad for Ty. Can you imagine how embarrased he is going to be when he sees Melissa at the next rehearsal? "Uh...sorry my wife bashed you on MySpace..." I understand Jewel's point, but its a dance show, not a rodeo. Its supposed to be all in good fun. SammyThis is ridiculous. Jewel couldn't compete - she could not even do the practice dance, let alone the real dance. This case is completely different from that. Melissa cracked a rib, and she is trying to get better to compete next week. If she can and does well, good for her. If she cannot, she will probably be voted out.
