Jessica Simpson greeted Lane Garrison after he was released from state prison early Wednesday morning.

According to E! News, the former Prison Break star, 28, was picked up by family members at the California Correctional Institute in Tehachapi, Calif., and taken to Jessica Simpson 's family home in Encino.

He was greeted by Joe Simpson -- his former youth pastor in Texas -- and daughter Jessica. (Ashlee was not present.)

Garrison - who pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence and two other alcohol-related charges, stemming from a 2006 crash that killed a teen - is now entering a five-month program at the Tarzana Treatment Center in the residential in-patient facility.

"I'm just worried about getting through treatment right now," Garrison told E! News. "I'm blessed to be alive."

Added Garrison (who wore a baseball cap with the word "FAITH" on it as he left prison), "I'm looking forward to getting on with my life and doing the right thing and helping people."

    Pray for him and all the families involved. As the kids should have known better to get into a vehicle with someone who had been drinking. They must take responsibility for themselves as well. But remember he has to live with the fact that he took a life for the rest of his! Pray for all but do not ridicule him. He needs help!

    And to Bored... yes, I've read the article and I do understand they were childhood friends, just giving some ideas to keep her name in the tabloids considering her singing and acting career is crashing. Can you people read? Maybe you just don't get the full effect of my statement.
