LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jessica Alba has never really been a fan of the paparazzi, and now that she is mom to 8-month-old Honor Marie Warren, she dislikes them even more.

"Kids pick up on your energy, so the more upset you get about it, the more your kids are affected by it. But I understand how Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin knocks out somebody who's putting a camera in their kids' faces. I get that," Jessica told the March issue of Elle magazine.

When asked who "would do the knocking out," Jessica or her husband of nearly nine months, Cash Warren , the actress said they are both angered by the paps.

"I think it's mutual, just because it's so invasive," she said. "It's not like they're standing 100 feet away. They're in your face, not letting you walk, standing in the way when you're driving. It becomes a situation and it doesn't need to be."

And it isn't just the snappers who Jessica has trouble with. When the actress married Cash in a hush-hush ceremony last summer, her wedding news was usurped by reporters, who broke the story before the couple could tell their respective families.

"The person who helped us sign the documents told the press that day, so my parents found our from a reporter before we got to tell them," Jessica said. "We were planning to take them out to dinner and tell them, but that got ruined... Journalists feel entitled to do whatever it takes to get a sensational story, no matter how it affects the person involved. We're not really people, right? We're just celebrities."

And it's her life as a celebrity that also forced Jessica to get back in shape after the birth of Honor Marie.

"I did it for the Campari job," Jessica told the mag of slimming down for an ad. "[The workouts] were horrible. I cried. And I haven't worked out since."

But not only did she work out, Jessica admitted she wrapped herself in elastic material to help the slimming process.

"I wore a girdle," Jessica revealed. "Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist -- any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, 'I slept in it.' I didn't recover as fast as she did. I don't have a sixpack -- that's just not my body at all."

And, Jessica added, she may never have a sixpack again.

"I'm not completely back to where I was. It's not the same, but it's not that serious," she said. "I'd rather spend an evening with my baby and give her a bath and read her stories and watch her roll around than go work out in a gym."

I do wish those paparazzi would just leave her alone...I understand what she's saying from her perspective about losing her baby weight, but to call it a, "tearful weight loss," is just short of ridiculous. It may have been tough, but a REAL tearful weight loss is when you lose weight because your appetite is gone from watching someone you loved with all your heart die a

As a mother, I would be upset with the invasion of my children's privacy & safety as well... There is a significant difference between having cameras rolling while on the set of a JOB & cameras getting in the way of being a productive PARENT, the most important job ANYone can have.

if people quit making the stars their false gods, they wouldn't want or need to know 'everything' about them and the stars could live a more normal life

If you want to be a celebrity, having the paparazzi follow you everywhere is just tough - it's part of the price you pay for being a celebrity. Still, when the papparazzi interfere with normal walking and driving, they've gone too far. I say if they annoy someone by doing that and get knocked out or run over, that's tough too. It's part of the price they pay f

Jessica makes a very valid point here. Not like the income someone makes whatever their job makes them any less human! Celebs have to deal with a certain amount of people wanting their picture, but it could be done in a more respectfully. They are people just like the rest of us. My biggest question for Jessica Alba is will we ever get more Dark Angel? Congrats on the baby!!! Kids are it!!!
