Well here we are, our summer on the shore with our beloved roommates is almost over with only three episodes left. This week, we got a bit of fluff, but it was fun fluff...so let's recap.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was really the star of this episode, beginning with her frustration with boyfriend Jionni. She's mad that he's had too much to drink and doesn't want to do whatever Snooki thinks a good boyfriend should do, and that's take care of her...um...needs. Now the newly mended relationship of Jenni "J-Woww" Farley and boyfriend Roger is getting its needs met, but only after Roger eats a couple of sandwiches and Jenni throws a piece of exercise equipment at him. But not to worry, Snooki's going to have other problems when everyone goes fishing the next morning.
The fishing trip was classic "Jersey Shore" and completely hysterical. Of course there were the double entendre 'crab' jokes, but who doesn't love a little crabbing while Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio is providing us with hilarious commentary?
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino decided to strike a pose right there on the dock, and go a crab surprise for himself, and Team Meatball, Snooki and Deena Cortese thought it would be a swell idea on the windiest day of the year, in a tiny inflatable raft, in the Atlantic Ocean (sorry Snooki, it's not the Pacific) and sadly we know this adventure is going to fail with flying colors. And it does, when rowing out of sync in circles gets them stuck under the pier, and Deena mistakes the word "sharp" for "sharks" and has a panic attack resulting in two wet Meatballs and a deflated raft...in three feet of water.
Snooki has a fun afternoon out with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and again, hilarity ensues when she goes down a ramp on a runaway minibike, not realizing that she could easily stop the thing just by putting her feet down. But this is Snooki, and common sense isn't really what she's all about.
In other news, Jenni sees Pauly's stalker, Vanessa, at the Shore Store, and she goes out to talk to her about why she's stalking Pauly. Pauly's inside being hilarious about the possibilities of what Vanessa might do to him if she ever gets close enough to throw that blanket she's carrying around over him. It was kind of sad in a way that they were making fun of this girl, who probably just wants a hug and a picture, but it is kind of creepy that she's a stalker, too.
Finally, we end this episode with Snooki and Vinny Guadagnino going on a sort-of date after Snooki has a bad phone call with Jionni. They are the Ross and Rachel of the Shore and we just want them to get married and have babies already. The scene of them pretending to be old people dancing was just too cute.
So that's it for this week...over the next few weeks we'll keep doing the "will they or won't they?" over Snooki and Vinny, and Mike's going to enact his revenge on Snooki by telling Jionni what happened in Italy...causing Snooki to lose her mind all over the place. Should be fun!
