Leslie Steinberg, Assistant Dean of Public Affairs at Southwestern, told the Web site that the actor began night classes last week.

"I get the feeling that he felt like one of the students at orientation and had a great time and is really diving in," Steinberg said.

Jerry reportedly went through the normal admissions process - submitting his undergraduate records and took the admissions test to law school.

Steinberg noted that the actor is only enrolled part time.

Jerry welcomed twins with wife Rebecca Romijn last January.

Congratulations Jerry O'Connell. I do not blame him for starting out slow. Colleges is hard enough when you are young, let alone when you have a family and celebrity status to contend with. I wish him the best of luck.

Ollie...Part Time Law School is just intense, if not more intense, than going full time. Not only are you taking classes, you are working (most likely) full time. Full time students don't work, and focus all their time on studying. It takes a lot of self discipline and the ability to prioritize to attend law school, part time and full time.

Nothing wrong with going part time to law school. I went part time at night while I worked as a law clerk during the day to help defray costs. I did just fine, had a very successful career in the Army Jag Corps then joined a consulting firm following my retirement. Too many folks attempt to address matters which they know very little about. Be careful.
