Jennifer ‘No Filter’ Lawrence Trash Talks Meryl at the Globes -- Her Other Unfiltered Moments

    Jennifer Lawrence has no filter

Jennifer Lawrence has been a long-time sufferer of 'foot-in-mouth' disease. Just minutes after being re-branded as "J Law" by comedian and presenter Will Ferrell, the Hollywood beauty struck gold by taking home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture -- Musical or Comedy.

However, the minute the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress opened her mouth on stage she set off a media firestorm by appearing to slight Hollywood royal and fellow contender, Meryl Streep.

"I beat Meryl," the talented young actress glowed as she palmed the statuette and swayed in a snarky-looking half-curtsy. Those familiar with the Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton film "The First Wives Club" let go a hearty laugh, though clearly not everyone understood the joke. Unfazed, she continued to pepper her acceptance speech with rather salty humor, thanking Harvey Weinstein for "killing whoever he had to kill" to get her up there.

This isn't the first time 'Katniss' has found herself in a bit of hot water. She is starting to become known as the 'Tinseltown' girl with no filter.

In interviews, Lawrence often resembles her character Tiffany from her Golden Globe award-winning performance, spouting off stream-of-consciousness monologues that are often as insightful as they are inappropriate. However, she deftly packages her uncommon bluntness, clumsy speech, and riotous antics, with a quick and charming wit.

Anyone doubting that the "Winter's Bone" star's Golden Globe comment was anything but a joke, can look to her recent Vanity Fair interview where she explains her ongoing obsession with "The Devil Wears Prada" actress. "Once I'm obsessed with somebody, I'm terrified of them instantly. I'm not scared of them-I'm scared of me and how I will react." When she finally had the chance to breathe the same air as the Hollywood legend, she recounted, "someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher's face and said, 'Not now, Bill!,' and I just stared at Meryl Streep." Though when asked if she was able to talk with her idol, she replied "of course not. I just creepily stared at her."

In November, the "X-Men: First Class" actress grabbed headlines for stating "in Hollywood, I'm obese." The Kentucky native later added, "I'm considered a fat actress. I'm Val Kilmer in that one picture on the beach."

That same month she openly discussed orgies with the The New York Times and again with the folks at Vulture . After expressing disappointment at missing all of the naked actors wrestling in the 'immersive' performance art piece "Sleep No More" in New York City, the interviewer informed her that there was an online website detailing how to catch all of the explicit nudity in the work. "If only I'd known," the bubbly blonde quickly pondered before adding, "I thought you were going to give me a website where I could see lots of orgies. I'm like, 'I could get that from almost any guy here.'"

Earlier this month, the "House at the End of the Street" star was called out for appearing to pull a Joaquin Phoenix after rather cavalierly calling acting "stupid" in the middle of the awards season. However, the delightfully self-effacing charmer explained, "everybody's like, 'How can you remain with a level head?' And I'm like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I'm not saving anybody's life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I'm making movies. It's stupid.'"

With all of the recognition J Law has been able to muster in her brief career, she'll likely be bringing her brand of levity and unfiltered sass to the often canned and rehearsed Hollywood awards season for decades more to come. Well, that is, if Meryl and Harvey can take a joke.
