There are no wedding bells for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy just yet.

The New York Post has reported that Kennedy, 39, popped the question to Hewitt, 30, on stage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., Saturday night after an audience yelled, "Marry her!"

But Hewitt's rep tells Usmagazine.com, "There is no truth to the report."

The two could wind up walking down the aisle someday.

While chatting with a Los Angeles radio station last month, Hewitt revealed that she gave Kennedy a proposal timeline. She said, "By this time next year, if we're not planning something, then there's a situation."

Hewitt was previously engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall. They called it off late last year.

"Breakups are awful. They're really painful," she told Ellen DeGeneres in April. "They really hurt. They really suck on lots of levels, but what I think is great about life is that the universe always brings you something really beautiful and great afterward -- and that's kind of where I am now."

    I think they deserve each other. She's a great actress but very bad at life decisions, and there is no such thing as a time line for relationships reguarding marriage. You know right away and if you don't then it's a no go. Plain and simple. You know then you plan. You don't plan to know.
