Jennifer Lopez is taking her former driver to court for $20 million in damages claiming that he demanded she give him $2.8 million or he'd make public any personal information he heard while chauffeuring her around. We can only imagine all the juicy details he heard, especially about her recent divorce to Marc Anthony. Hakob Manoukian filed an initial lawsuit after being let go as the head of her security team and then allegedly tried to blackmail the singer for the money. Her lawsuit reportedly states "Manoukian plotted to retaliate against Ms. Lopez and her management and to use his apparent position of trust to exploit and extort substantial sums from Ms. Lopez." It then goes on to say "In the furtherance of this plot, he abruptly terminated his employment with Ms. Lopez and began to threaten her with revealing sensitive and personal information that he had allegedly overheard while driving Ms. Lopez." Besides being embroiled in a lawsuit, what else has she been up to lately?
Despite rumors recently flying around that the beauty and her guy, Casper Smart, were on the rocks, it appears as though all is right in their relationship bubble. A source was reportedly quoted as saying "'[Jennifer] is getting frustrated with him and she's increasingly short-tempered when she's around him" and followed up with "He's moved into her life - and a little too easily, too. I think her family is watching him closely." You mean like a normal, regular relationship? It just sounds like a few rough days to us. The pair were spotted walking through a park on August 5 with her 4-year-old twins. Fans of the couple need not worry, it appears as if they're still going strong.
Topping the charts
After all these years, the 43-year-old still knows how to draw in the fans. She marked her seventh top 10 chart debut with her latest album "Dance Again...The Hits." It debuted at Number 6 on Billboard's Hip Hop/ R&B Charts. It was released on July 20, 2012 and contains some of her biggest hits including "Love Don't Cost A Thing," "Jenny From the Block," "On the Floor," and "I'm Real." It also contains two songs - "Waiting for Tonight" and "If You Had My Love" - from her very first album, "On The 6," which was released in June 1999. The collection is available through iTunes for $9.99.
Fans in Anaheim are not going to be too pleased. JLo and Enrique Iglesias, who are currently co-headlining the Dance Again World Tour together, have canceled their Sunday, August 12 concert in the city with no explanation given as to why, but left their two other area shows up and running. The tour kicked off in June 14 in Panama City and will continue until September 2 in Orlando. She'll then go solo, starting in Belarus on September 25 and finish up in Dubai on November 22.
