Perhaps Jennifer Lawrence didn't want anyone to recognize her after her embarrassing tumble during her Oscar acceptance,or maybe she was hoping to hide from paps while smoking a "questionable" cigarette while on vacay in Hawaii. In any case, almost immediately after scoring her golden statue, "The Hunger Games" actress went back to her Katniss roots, trading in blond locks for a considerably darker hairdo.
Coincidentally, she's not the only celebrity to jump onto this trend. In Hollywood, changing hair colors isn't really a peculiar thing. The "Kick-Ass" heroine began her burgeoning career as a fair-haired child star, but refined her tresses by warming up the color to a light brown. The switch just might be a smart move. Starring as Carrie in the upcoming 2013 remake, the shade is actually a lot closer to that of Sissy Spacek's in the original film.
Paris JacksonThe daughter of late pop king Michael Jackson wasn't exactly a blonde; but she's certainly shedding her little girl image in favor of a darker, much more introspective one. In her case, she went to the extreme, not only showing off jet black hair - but also a choppier length for an edgy, more textured look…or at least it seemed that way. Shortly after Valentine's Day, the teen heiress shocked the world with pics of her Gothic new look on Twitter. Alas, she was just tricking us. It was only a wig. Gotcha!
