Jennifer Aniston & John Mayer: 'Already Miss Each Other'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- It appears that absence does truly make the heart grow fonder, at least in the case of new celebrity couple Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer.

The new lovebirds are reportedly already feeling the pain of a long distance relationship, as John returned to New York City and Jen stayed in Miami to finish her upcoming film, "Marley & Me," according to People.

"They already miss each other," a source close to John told the mag.

The source also squashed any notion that their relationship might not be legit, saying, "It's very real. They've been seeing each other for a few weeks now."

Jen and John were first spotted together last Friday having lunch at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink in Miami, and then later the same day Casa Tua in South Beach.

Jen needs some happiness. Jolie is a maneater. Look at what happened to Laura Dern. Once Joli got a hold of Billy Bob Thornton he forgot that he was engaged to Laura Dern. If your guy is going to star in a movie with Jolie! Watch out he may forget all about YOU whether married, engaged or single!

good for jen she deserves to be happy too everyone is all about the pitt /jolie frankly im sick of hearing about them i do like john but i think vince v was a better man for her i wish they would get back together

I know Jen is no saint but I hope that she doesn't ever give up her "girl next door" image by becoming another jolie...she is gaining popularity by keeping it "clean". Hope she continues to do so.

No one but them really know if it's just a flirtation or the real deal, but I wonder how long it will last given his womanizing past. I would rather have liked to see her with Aaron Eckhart, who is also an A list star but much more low key (not to mention way cuter than JMayer!!) Best of luck Jen whomever you choose. We are rootin' for you, always.

This is OMG sooooo.....OMG! I sincerely hope that the writing examples of these posts are not a clear reflection of our educational systems in this country. As far as Jen and John, I wish them much luck and happiness, either together or apart. Absence may make the heart grow fonder, but sharing in each other's company makes it so much nicer. Don't you think?
