Jennifer Aniston is finally talking about her engagement to her "Wanderlust" co-star Justin Theroux. The actress saved all the talking for an appearance on BFF Cheslea Handler's hit E! show "Chelsea Lately."
"I just got verklempt," the teary 43-year-old said when Handler brought up the engagement.
Handler swooped in to save her pal as she regained her composure.
"You are so happy because he's the greatest guy ever and you guys make the greatest couple ever," the comedian said, "and I am so happy for you two."
The actress has been notoriously quiet about her love life since her high-profile marriage to Brad Pitt broke up in 2005. She's dated everyone from John Mayer to Vince Vaughn since, but only Theroux managed to keep her for the long haul.
What has she said about her soon-to-be husband over the years? Let's review.
He Didn't Cheat on His Girlfriend With Aniston
Aniston knows a thing or two about being cheated on - her marriage to Pitt ended when rumors of an affair with "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-star Angelina Jolie emerged. So, the actress was adamant that she didn't start dating Theroux while filming "Wanderlust." Why? He was still with his ex-girlfriend.
"Nothing happened on that movie ... it's a rumor," she told "Good Morning America" in February. "It's the easy rumor, but nothing happened. We were just friends."
They Don't Like New York Anymore
Aniston and Theroux were routinely spotted walking around New York City in the first stages of their relationship. The constant attention wore on the couple after a while, eventually chasing them back to Los Angeles.
"We tried New York," she told an Australian radio show in March. "It felt like I was [living] in a fishbowl. It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn't feel like the New York I grew up in and knew."
Theroux Gets the Dad Seal of Approval
Aniston isn't the only one infatuated with Theroux. "Days of Our Lives" star John Aniston is also a big fan of his daughter's fiance.
"He's a charming young man," the elder Aniston told US Weekly late last year. "I think they make a wonderful couple."
If they're so close, why didn't John know about their engagement before we did?
"It's the first I've heard about it," the Days of Our Lives actor told Celebuzz after the news broke. "It's a surprise to me."
Turns out he did know - he just didn't want to ruin the news for his daughter.
Do you think Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux will last?
