Amanda Bynes has been the subject of controversy in 2012, and a number of stars are talking about her. The latest celeb to comment on Amanda's woes is Jennie Garth, her co-star from the sitcom "What I Like About You." Jennie -- who played her sister on that show -- tried to act sisterly when she learned of Amanda's mounting legal issues. "I tried reaching out to her and I haven't been able to reach her," said Jennie. "My heart feels for whatever she is going through and I love her dearly." Since Amanda's trouble started with her first hit-and-run accident earlier this year, many others have shared viewpoints. Here are a few people that have had interesting things to say about the former teen star.
In April, Amanda's dad rushed to defend his troubled daughter over the accusations that she was driving while intoxicated. After Amanda was arrested for DUI following one of her hit-and-run incidents this year, Rick Bynes thought the allegations were outrageous. "She didn't have a single drink that night," he said at the time. "My daughter doesn't drink." At the time, it had to be nice to have dear old dad in her corner. Now, reports are saying that the relationship with Amanda and her parents isn't as strong as it was back in April.
A troubled actress herself, Lindsay seemed to take the whole Amanda business personally. In September, Lindsay took issue with the fact that Amanda seemed to be getting away with more than she did. She tweeted, "Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" Amanda didn't take kindly to that, and referred to Lindsay's recent arrest as "karma." Clearly, these two actresses don't share the bond of friendship.said the host. "She apparently used to be on Nickelodeon, then was in the movie 'Hairspray' and some other movies that you've probably never heard of. We're not making light of the charges against her -- it's serious stuff. But the reason why she's on the Ridiculist is because like any sensible, quasi-celebrity, she has taken to Twitter to defend herself." Clearly, Anderson isn't counted among the Amanda's biggest fans.
