Country singer Jason Aldean can start singing "Your Cheating Heart" since he was spotted kissing former "American Idol" alum Brittany Kerr at a Los Angeles bar last week.
In the photos - published on TMZ - Aldean is spotted intimately touching and kissing the competition singer at The Den in West Hollywood, California, last Wednesday, according to the website. He then issued an apology via Twitter when the photos hit the web.
"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself," he tweeted.
"I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support," he said.
Kerr also issued an apology, saying she regrets hurting his family.
"I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends & family," she went on to say.
Somehow we doubt this is the first time he's been private with Kerr - the pair looks way too comfortable with one another, don't you think?
Regardless if it's a one-time thing or not, Aldean is hardly the first celeb to apologize when caught red-handed.
It's hard to mention cheating anymore without talking about Kristen Stewart. The "Twilight" star was caught canoodling with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders in July. The problem? He's married and she's dating Robert Pattinson. Stewart quickly apologized for cheating, saying she was "so sorry" in a statement to People.
Luckily for Stewart, it looks like Pattinson is ready to forgive her.
"They are living together and have reconciled," a source told US Weekly last week.
LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian
"Obviously we made decisions that were not necessarily the right ones but it obviously brought us to the place where we are now," she told DeGeneres in 2010. "And, we're happy and we're married. And we've always put his kids first."
Actor Hugh Grant probably had one of the most embarrassing caught-in-the-act moments when he was arrested with a prostitute while girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley was at home. Hurley and Grant tried to patch things up, but ultimately split a short time later.
Amazingly enough, Divine Brown - the prostitute - credited Grant and the subsequent attention for saving her life.
"That was the trick that changed my life, honey," she told the U.K. Daily Mail in 2010. 'The event that earned me a million dollars."
"I was just trying to pay a few bills that night. 'Lo and behold I got a celebrity. I'd agreed to go with him for $50, but ended up with more than ten thousand times that. God has a path for us all."
