It's a baby boy for actor James Van Der Beek, who shot to TV fame in the 90s and double-zeros thanks to a role in the serial teen drama "Dawson's Creek." The ex-Dawson Leery Tweeted the happy news to followers shortly after welcoming the tyke on March 13, gushing in fresh new-dad speak " Had my first son this morning... well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain..." Baby boy joins dad, mom Kimberly and big sis Olivia.
So what's up with the rest of the "Creek" cast? Read on for updates.
Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley) was most recently up for an Oscar for her work as the titular character in "My Week with Marilyn." Though Meryl Streep ultimately took the prize for "Iron Lady," Williams earned a host of best dressed nods for her red carpet attire , a stunning red Louis Vuitton creation. Privately, she continues in her most important role: Mom to daughter Matilda, her only child with former flame Heath Ledger.
Katie Holmes (Joey Potter) continues to hit the shops and eat fro yo with her fashion plate daughter Suri, her sole child with hubby Tom Cruise. Perhaps most recently, Holmes and Cruise hit the Academy Awards ceremony, and then busted a move to the ever-popular Vanity Fair after-party. In 2011, she had the auspicious honor of appearing in Adam Sandler's embarrassing bomb of a flick "Jack and Jill."
Finally, Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter) still enjoys success on TV, thanks to a starring role in the sci-fi thriller "Fringe." On a personal note, he's been dating German actress Diane Kruger since 2006, and the pretty --and rather public-- pair earned PopSugar voters' nod for the most stylish couple of 2011.
