LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Despite Internet reports, Jaime Pressly did not urinate in public recently.

Photos of the former "My Name Is Earl" star crouching in front of West Hollywood establishment, The Abbey, cropped up on the Web on Monday. While a puddle of water was pictured underneath the star, she did not lose control of her bladder.

According to Jaime, she was taking part in a prank as part of her bridal shower.

"Yes....that is me doing dare #8 at my bridal shower..Things are not always what they seem," Jaime wrote on her Twitter page on Monday afternoon. "Notice my hand in the back..its pouring a bottle of water!!!"

Jaime added there is no way she would ever break the law and urinate in public.

"C'mon guys! Do you think i would really pee in the entry way to the Abbey in broad DAYLIGHT!!!" she added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jaime is a bride-to-be. Last month a rep for the star confirmed she is engaged to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh.

A wedding date for the couple has yet to be decided, her rep told Access in late July.

    I HAD ***TWO FREINDS*** THAT HAD TO PEE SO BAD, THEY BOTH PISSED ON THE STEPS OF NYU and that was no joke! When a woman has to pee we have to pee! If a guy did this you all would laugh and find it funny, you'd even go to TMZ or youtube. I love Jamie!
