HOUSTON, TX -- Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor at the center of the Michael Jackson death investigation, has used YouTube to thank his supporters for their encouraging messages in the wake of the King of Pop's death.
"I want to thank all of my patients and friends who sent such kind e-mails, letters and messages, to let me know of your support and prayers for me and my family," Murray said in the one-minute clip on YouTube, which Access Hollywood has confirmed is authentic.

In the tape, Murray said he has not been using the normal ways to communicate to his supporters because he is frightened.
"Because of all that is going on, I am afraid to return phone calls or use email," Murray continued on the clip. "Therefore, I recorded this video to let all of you know that I have been receiving your messages."

Murray, whose home and offices have been searched by authorities investigating Jackson's death, said he is drawing strength from the people who have reached out to him.
"Your messages give me strength and courage, and keep me going," he said. "They mean the world to me."
The doctor revealed little about the Jackson investigation, but said he has, "told the truth."

"I have done all I could do. I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail," he said. "God bless you and thank you."
A rep for Murray told NBC News the clip, which was shot in a Houston home, was the doctor's idea as a way of saying "Thank you" to his supporters.
The doctor receives 20-30 calls each day from supporters, strangers and friends who have offered their help, the Murray rep told NBC News.
Earlier this week, an attorney for Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, told the Associated Press that she is considering a wrongful death lawsuit with Murray's being the main name brought up.
Investigators have been looking into whether Murray gave the pop star the anesthetic profopol in the hours before his death on June 25 at the age of 50.
