In the wake of Internet reports that Heidi and Spencer Pratt were "tortured" on the set of NBC's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, leading to Heidi's hospitalization Saturday, an on-set source tells Usmagazine.com all allegations are false.

"Any accusations that Spencer and Heidi were harmed are untrue," the source confirms, adding that while the couple spent approximately 14 hours in the Costa Rican jungle's "Lost Chamber" awaiting their fate in the series, rations were indeed provided.

As Us exclusively broke the news of Heidi's emergency hospitalization in Costa Rica, her sister-in-law, Stephanie Pratt, was among the first to condemn NBC for their alleged actions.

"I'm really saddened to hear that nbc felt it was ok to punish speidi so harshly-and torture them as if they were criminals-that Heidi was...rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water. Pls pray she will be ok," Stephanie wrote late Saturday.

According to the on-set source, the pair quit the series Monday and stayed in hotels for three days until returning to beg their cast mates to allow them back on the show.

As for the conditions inside the "Lost Chamber"?

"There was no danger, no life-threatening situations -- in fact, they were actually protected from the elements, unlike the other contestants," the source adds. "When they came out, they were happy and in good spirits."

In a statement to Us, ITV Studios, which produces the series, confirms that a medic and doctor have been present at all times during filming. "ITV has been producing this format around the world for many years and the health of the celebrity participants are of the utmost importance," the statement read.

A source close to the couple relays their relief after being released from the chamber: "Of course they were in good spirits, they were happy to get out of there. There are always life-threatening situations [in the jungle]. There are snakes out there that can kill you! Anyone who has ever seen this show knows that."

Full details on the pair's night in the chamber and the fate of their return will be revealed on Monday's episode of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

You want ratings NBC? Schedule an MMA fight between Spencer 'The Douchebag" Pratt and Danny "The Loveable Whack-Job" Bonoduce. I would pay $100 to see Bonaduce kick that sissy's ass all over town.

First of all they are not celebrities. they are reality show rejects. they should have not tortured the real celebrities by putting those two on that show.... NBC needs to "syep away from the rejects" and possibly do a show that wouldbe more interesting...and we would find more enjoyable than watching those idiots . say " Let's get a root canal ! " th

We all know that the PAIR are TWO of the most stupid people in Hollywood, next to PARIS HILTON... Now, WE SHOULD ADD STEPHANIE PRATT on the list... How could she be so stupid as to think that NBC would do such a thing? Knowing that had they done it, they'll be sued by THOSE stupid people?! If I were NBC, I'D DO the exact SAME THING they're complaining about :D
