Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton suffered a concussion after fainting, the Associated Press reports.
Clinton was staying home due to a stomach virus. Her illness left her dehydrated, which led to a brief fainting spell. Clinton then hit her head, sustaining a concussion. Clinton continues to work from home while being monitored by doctors, but hopes to return to work "soon," explained a statement by aide Philippe Reines.

As a result of her injury, Clinton will no longer attend two hearings on Thursday about the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya, that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including a U.S. ambassador. Instead, senior State Department officials William Burns and Thomas Nides will fill in for her.
