Heidi Klum and Seal are officially separating. This past year we've seen several high profile couples crumble before our eyes: Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony and of course, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Heidi and Seal, however, are no 72 day affair.
The couple always appeared to be happy and very much in love. The two even came together to sing a loving duet at the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel is a British R&B singer and musician. Klum is a supermodel, TV personality and entrepreneur. Heidi even privately changed her name to "Heidi Samuel" to take her beloved husband's last name.
The power couple has released a joint statement about their sad break up. The statement reads, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate." They went on to reveal, "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition, We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."
