    Hefner son arrested in domestic violence case

    PASADENA, California (AP) — Authorities say Hugh Hefner's 21-year-old son has been arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence in California.

    County jail records show Marston Hefner was released Monday after posting $20,000 bail.

    Police Lt. Rick Aversano told the Los Angeles Times that officers were called Sunday to the Pasadena home and arrested Hefner after determining his girlfriend had minor injuries consistent with an assault.

    Marston Hefner is one of two adult sons of the Playboy founder and his former wife, ex-Playmate Kimberly Conrad Hefner.

    It was not clear whether he has hired an attorney. He could not be reached for comment, and the arrest was not addressed on the Twitter accounts of Hugh, Marston or brother Cooper Hefner.

      I'm always a little perplexed by people that admire Hugh Hefner. If he wasn't wealthy and famous, he'd be viewed as a creepy old man.

      I worked for Playboy for 5 years and I got the impression that women not only were worshipped and respected but were generally feminists who didn’t put up with guff, especially the centerfold-quality ones. (And yes, Hef is only around 5 foot eight.)

      Do we really think that Hugh Hefner could be a father. Perhaps a sperm donor but certainly not a father. This kid has never known a father, just an old man who spends the day in his pajamas.

      This son was raised with his brother, by his mother Kimberly, not by Hefner. Seems to me most of Hefner's girlfriends remain his friends and actually seem to care about him.

        And so is his ex Kimberley a friend. Matter of fact, they have not been legally divorced all that long (I think) Her and the two boys lived quite close to Hefner. Kids grow up and do as they please. It is sad how many times outsiders will blame the parents for the children's behavior.

      I'm not a big fan of Hugh Hefner, but I've never heard of him physical abusing any of his girls. I hope he has the sense to have a long talk with his kid about respect. No excuse for physical abuse. There's some anger issues here.
