Ahh, it seems like only yesterday we were watching Miley Cyrus on the Disney Channel as her beloved character Hannah Montana. The teen queen turns 19 on November 23 and we're checking in on the star to see where she's been lately.
In the past year Miss Miley has kept relatively quiet and has avoided most red carpet events. Although she might be enjoying her time away from the blaring flashes of the paparazzi that doesn't mean she's been completely absent from the spotlight. So what has this young babe been doing?
Movies
Not gonna lie, we sort of loved "The Last Song" but then again, we're suckers for any Nicholas Sparks romance. Miley might not have the famed author writing anymore movie scripts for her but she's still bitten by acting bug. In 2012 she can be seen in "LOL" and "So Undercover." No word on if these movies will be any good but hopefully Miley has moved on from her partying past and onto focusing on her movie career.
Touring
It seems like regardless of where Miss Miley pops up she has thousands of fans there screaming her name and waiting to see what she'll do next. In June the singer went down under and kicked off her Australian tour. In one of her performances the star donned a super sexy red jumpsuit and knee high black boots showing off her killer thighs.
Defending her curves
Who seriously would call Miley fat? After she was photographed looking a little chunkier than usual people started criticizing her weight gain. Luckily Miley could care less about the criticism and defended herself.
"By calling girls like me fat this is what you're doing to other people. I love myself," she tweeted. She then posted a photo of an extremely malnourished woman and said, "I LOVE being shaped like a WOMAN & trust me ladies your man won't mind either."
Good for you Miley, we think you look fabulous!
Lucky in love
Chances are if you saw "The Last Song" with Miley you probably also couldn't help but notice swoonworthy hunk Liam Hemsworth who played her character's love interest. The Australian babe is Miley's love interest not only on camera but off camera as well. And as far as those fat rumors? Hemsworth says he thinks his girlfriend is the sexiest when "there is some steak sauce dripping down her chin."
