  to the kate haters, concerning absent family :There are varied reasons , some chose to not be on camera, some are really not here on a daily or weekly basis for different reasons.also some don't understand our job and how it relates to "our" real lives..which's still puzzeling to us..   He was not a leader in that family. He was very content to give the responsibility to Kate, so he didn't have to be at fault when problems arised!!! I pray those precious angels thrive under Kate's leadership and as they grow see their father's mistakes and avoid repeating them!!!

  John and Kate both made mistakes that is plain to see. I truly beleive she realizes what her actions have cost her..ei he marraige. But Jon is a coward for walking away from his family. Regardless if he sees them frequently he has abandoned the family unit. Things are much different in a household where there is that amount of responsibility at stake. He has no one to blame but his self.

• Jon is wrong. Did you happen to see the last episode where his daughter Mattie maid the comment that when they do stuff with Kate they have fun and they were not having fun with Jon he got mad like a two year old and left them at home. The Man needs help in more ways than one. You try taking care of eight kids and dealing with him. Get over it.
