LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Gavin Rossdale's father couldn't be happier about the newest addition to the Stefani-Rossdale clan.
"It's very good news. We are very pleased for them," Dr. Douglas Rossdale told People about becoming a grandpa once again.
Gavin's wife, Gwen Stefani, gave birth to Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale on Thursday afternoon.

According to the mag, Gavin called his London-based family from the hospital with the news.
"He sounded great," said the rock star's father. "Very happy."
It's the second son for Gwen, 38, and Gavin, 40, who are already parents to Kingston, 2. Rossdale has a daughter, Daisy, 19, from a previous relationship.

Baby Zuma weighed in at 8.5 pounds.
"Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy," a Stefani rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
As for his unusual name, there is speculation that Zuma is named after Malibu's famous Zuma Beach, a favorite destination for the Rossdales. Zuma is also a popular 2004 video game.
As for the middle name "Nesta," it may be a reference to Jamaican reggae icon Bob Marley. Bob's son Damian worked with Gwen on a remix of her song "Now That You Got It" in 2007. Marley's middle name is Nesta, as well.
The name of Zuma's older brother, Kingston, is also reggae-related. Kingston was named after the capital city of Jamaica.
