Grammy Awards: Best Performances of the Night

Adam Levine looked great at the Grammy Awards.

There were 20 different performances at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on February 12, and considering the lineup of big names that were scheduled to perform, many fans were excited to see what their favorite music stars had in store. Unfortunately, a lot of the performances earned a big "Meh." There were some, however, that were everything we hoped for and then some and deserve to be named as the best performances at the Grammys.

    Bruno Mars

The crooner did a fantastic job during the performance of his song "Runaway." He was joined by a full band, all of whom were in black pants and shirts and gold jackets and bow ties. In front of a brightly lit backdrop, he gave a shout-out to Whitney Houston, then announced to the crowd to "Get off your rich a**es and let's have some fun!"

    Jennifer Hudson

It was an emotional performance that left barely a dry eye in the house. She paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston by performing her song "I Will Always Love You." The song was very heartfelt and, in true Hudson fashion, was extremely well-done.

    Adele

In her first performance since having vocal cord surgery, the songstress performed her hit "Rolling in the Deep" and afterward received a standing ovation from the crowd. She looked stunning from head-to-toe and delivered the song beautifully - no pretense and no gimmicks; just sheer talent. Congratulations are in order; she walked away with six Grammy awards by the end of the ceremony. Delivering one of the best quotes of the night, she announced "Oh, I've got a bit of snot!" while wiping away tears during her Album of the Year acceptance speech.

The Beach Boys, Maroon 5, Foster the People

In one crazy combination of musical talent, Adam Levine started off by singing "Surfer Girl" followed by Foster the People who sang "Wouldn't It Be Nice." The Beach Boys then took the stage to celebrate their 50th anniversary by performing "Good Vibrations." They performed part of the song on their own before being joined by the other two groups.

What was your favorite performance of the evening?

You forgot Taylor Swift. I thought it was the best performance of the night! She nailed it!!!! I also liked The Beach Boys, Glen Cambell tribute and Jennifer Hudson's beautiful rendition of "I Will Always Love You". The only person who could have sang it better (now) is Dolly Parton.

I agree (for a change) wholeheartedly with the above list. Would like to add Taylor Swift's performance, and the tribute to (& including) Glen Campbell. Also Coldplay's performance.
