The 54th Grammy Awards aired live on February 12th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The award show is incorporated with musical performances from the most popular artists in the country, and many viewers tuned in to see who rocked the show. We were pleased to see Adele walk away with numerous awards, and also give her first live performance since her surgery last year. The powerful songstress was one among many big winners that night. However, along with the big award ceremony, came big fashion statements. Some celebs walking the red carpet may have been turning heads, but not in a positive way. Here is a list of some of the biggest fashion mistakes from the evening's show.
Nicki Minaj
Stealing fashion sense from a child's fairy tale didn't favor the "Your Love" singer this evening. She appeared to be dressed as "Little Red Riding Hood" in a red satin gown, and was escorted by a man dressed as the Pope. Her attire and "holy man" accessory on the red carpet garnered attention from everyone, but not in a good way.
Robyn
The "Body Talk" pop star may have been trying to make a statement for the working class in her white mini dress, blocked off the back with a trail, and yellow platform boots. However, the ensemble did little evoke admiration from the crowd.
Diana Ross
Everyone loves this legendary iconic diva, but what's going on with her wardrobe? The ill-fitting pantsuit did very little to flatter songstress's figure as she walked the red carpet -- and the blown out cuffs on her sleeves gave her a very bulky appearance.
Sasha Gradiva
This Russian born rising star was definitely trying to make a statement on the red carpet. But what exactly was she going for here? The pink dress would have been gorgeous if she hadn't donned the machine gun looking accessory on her right arm.
Snooki
Oh honey, why were you even here? The "Jersey Shore" star does an excellent job beguiling viewers with her stunning legs, but she should have opted for a solid black dress instead of the optical illusion she's attempting to pull off. And the giant bow sitting on top of her head just polishes off the tacky ensemble.
Fergie
It looks as though the "Black Eyed Peas" singer is trying to show off her physical assets, but didn't do a very good job. We give her props for originality, but the "hides nothing" orange gown she donned would have looked better sans granny panties, opting for a solid liner instead.
D'Manti
It's hard to tell what kind of fashion statement this Las Vegas native was going for. The color scheme is nothing short of a mess, and it almost looked as if she was bleeding through the fabric. Maybe if she had stood next to Gradiva, we could assume the two women had a row before coming to the Grammys.
Bonnie McKee
This "Hold it Against Me" song writer gave quite a shock when she appeared with golden tassels down her frock. The dress is definitely original, but tassels belong more at a graduation ceremony than an awards show.
