LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- "Sex and The City," "Californication" and "Swingtown" have all steamed up the small screen with on air threesomes - and next week, The CW's "Gossip Girl" will put its own spin on the menage a trois - but The Parents Television Council (PTC) is calling for CW affiliates to preempt the episode.

PTC President Tim Winter has written a letter to CW network president Dawn Ostroff and every CW affiliate asking that the November 9 episode of "Gossip Girl not air.

"To include a storyline like this on a program that is expressly targeted to impressionable teenagers is reckless and irresponsible. We are asking each CW Network affiliate to use their common sense and preempt this episode," Winter wrote in the letter obtained by AccessHollywood.com and first reported by TheWrap.com.

Protests or not, fans of the popular CW series are clamoring to find out who will end up participating in the "Gossip" group activity. And while the stars of the show are keeping hush hush on who exactly will be involved, Michelle Trachtenberg says it's something viewers aren't going to want to miss.

"[It's] worth waiting for," Michelle, who plays "Gossip Girl" troublemaker Georgina Sparks, told MTV News earlier this month.

Threesomes seem to be a popular theme this fall - even Britney Spears' latest #1 hit single, "3," is addressing the topic.

Blocking it on your tv works as effectively as telling kids they can't drink, until they spend the night at the friend's house whose parents don't give a %@!*#. Its about the messages on tv encouraging them to engage in risky/emotionally damaging behaviors that they arent even remotely mature enough to handle. To glamorize sex and 'anything goes' on tv rea

If you don't want your children watching it, then take control and don't let them watch. Don't blame a freaking TV channel if your child does something inappropriate that he/she saw on TV. If you don't want your child watching, block the show. Or better yet, maybe you could take a stand and tell them to, I don't know, stop watching it? But hey, I'm

TVs these days have something called "Parental Control" "V-Chip" etc. etc. If you don't want your kids watching it, then BLOCK it. I can't believe how many unintelligent people procreate then want to blame everything else for their kids' behavior instead of taking responsibility. Lay off the cheetos, get off the couch and PARENT your kids

who even knows what the episode is about... you know many times they tease you about something and it ends up being something completely different. besides, morals are taught at home by the parents... stop blaming TV and the media for your laziness as a parent

I agree. This show is aimed at teenagers and they have enough sexual content being thrown to them at such an young age that they don't need to see this and have it being presented as "cool." Why are morals SO wrong now?
