Gnarls Barkley Rope In Timberlake For 'Run' But Miss Out On MTV

Those "Crazy" guys from Gnarls Barkley roped in superstar Justin Timberlake for the video to their new song, "Run," but despite the extra celeb factor, the spot won't be shown on MTV.

According to Billboard, the video's strobe effects caused it to fail the Harding Test, which measures the amount of flashes per second. The Harding Test is designed to help prevent the triggering of seizures.

The clip, which is available on YouTube, only shows the strobe-like pattern effects in the later part of the clip, which is heavily '60s influenced.

"I don't know exactly what's going on, but we're having issues. I think [the video] is cool. It works for me. But I'm not necessarily that easily seasick," Gnarls Barkley member, Danger Mouse, told Billboard. "We can't predict how people are going to interpret it."

Timberlake plays a television host in the video and even offers some comical dance moves in the spot.
