Glee: Where Have Rachel's Dads Been All Our Lives?

    Dear Glee producers,

Fans finally got to meet Mr. and Mr. Berry on Tuesday's episode, and we have to ask: is it too soon to send them valentines?

Glee's Vanessa Lengies on Sugar's big breadstix bash and a new McKinley love triangle

Hiram and Leroy Berry, played by Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell, arrived the only way men who raised gold star-loving, solo-hogging Rachel Berry would: on a rolling piano while singing "Chapel of Love." What's not to like? Seamless chemistry, witty back-and-forth about ice-fishing with Tony Danza (it was only one dream!) and Jennifer Hudson's vocal rolls (that's why she got kicked off of American Idol, after all)... swoon.

Even when it looked like the Berrys were really super gung-ho to marry off their teenager, Papa Berrys revealed their true intentions. Of course they want to break up Finchel! Here Finn, take a look at what married life — and Rachel's preposterous beauty regimen — really means. A slightly devious and completely controlling plan... hmmm, sounds just like Rachel! Awww! Rachel's backstory is finally coming together!

But the episode begged the question: Why haven't we met them sooner? Rachel finding her real birth mother, Shelby, back in Season 1 was a huge storyline, yet Hiram and Leroy were nowhere to be seen. Now that Rachel's time as a McKinley High student is running out faster than you can say Liza, can we please see more of the Berrys?

Glee spoiler photos: Get a sneak peek of what's ahead

We know Glee already has plenty of other storylines and characters to service, but as graduation and her May nuptials draw near, Rachel is going to need to lean on her dads for emotional support and guidance, right? And, aside from those few bars of "You're the Top," Goldblum and Mitchell haven't even gotten a chance to show off their Broadway pipes.

Come on, Glee producers. Make it happen. The Berrys are the funniest thing to happen to the show since Brittany's last zinger back in Episode 6.

What did you think of tonight's episode? Do you think Rachel's dads are doing the right thing by lying to their baby? Do you agree with Mercedes' tough decision? Who really believes that Rory is going back to Ireland? Sound off below!

Does anyone else remember in the earlier episodes they showed a photo of her Dad's... and these are not the same people lol Like the photo was a pun of the joke because she was like she still didn't know who was her biological dad to this day and they showed a White guy and and then a guy who is clearly Black. Whereas now her black dad looks mixed and is light skinned... anyway just wondering if I am the only one who remembers!

I remember it. Her dads pictures hung in her locker and they showed them. I don't remember the white guy at all but it seems like the black guy was Phillip Michael Thomas or someone who looked an awful lot like him

Loved the episode tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE Rachel's DADS. Are you kidding? Who could NOT love them (that are fans of the show)!!! Perfect superb casting..... I am not sure what to believe about the whole lie drama thing... let's see where the writer's take us. Rory is not going anywhere, he is too good and adds a real fun depth to the show. I stopped watching for a while but, the last 3 episodes have been great and I am hooked again. Love my GLEE!!!!!!!!!!!

the dads the storyline of them gone was deal with. but for me jeff and brain were the worth. it was played for funny but i found it boring, and over acted. i think glee has lost it. the show was about talented singing kids with pop music. that is what made the show a hit. we knew the music and could sing along as well dance. it made me like songs that i didnt like by the orginal singers. the rachel and broadway stuff held the show up.. as talented as lea is she became a pain.. the show took some of the limelight off her and now i enjoy it again. as they say spread the wealth. and now they do with the singers. end the blaine and kurt relationship. darrin seem not into it. not the relationship but playing gay.. so deal with the football player coming of age with being gay. and kurt befriend him helping him with it. we enjoyed darrin so much they made a regular of him. fine. but send him back to his old school they were a better fit. and kill the fathers storyline of the berrys. there were not missed.

Isnt it odd, that the most irritating voice is the one they centered the show around?
To me, the pitches, the thin voice in high range, and the digital correction/compression hurts my ears, when she sings.

So why bother to read an article about it AND take the time to leave a snide comment on it then?

This show is the gayest show of all time. Not very realistic either. Two dads? Come on.
