Glam Slam: 'Sex' Is Back!

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ahhhhh. A sigh of happiness. Sex is back..."Sex and the City 2." They started shooting the sequel this week and already the fashion lovers in our office are going crazy. For the first movie, every day was like a fashion show on the streets of New York.

"Check out Carrie Bradshaw on Fifth Avenue with her signature oversize flower! Here she is with an Eiffel Tower Bag! Look at that wedding dress!"

It was a steady stream of new photos and video coming in to our offices here at Access Hollywood with new outfits to oooh and ahhh over. It was also a game of detective...trying to figure out who the designers were for all the clothes. As shooting went on, the designers wised up and started sending out press releases.

They are already on top of their game for the sequel.

I already got my first press release about this film. From Chanel. "Sarah Jessica Parker is carrying a CHANEL gold metal clutch on 'Sex and The City 2.'"

This certainly takes some of the guess work out of the film's fashion, but not the excitement. Our style photo editor Anthony and researcher Akiva were giddy when I forwarded the release to them, so they could start our "Sex and The City 2" fashion files.

Already we are going nuts over Carrie's debut outfit. I love her simple white dress and the statement necklace. Akiva is all about her shoes. Of course, the clutch isn't too shabby either!!!! Sharon, one of our fashion producers, emailed about how excited she is the movie is shooting already. We sent a crew down to 85th between Madison and Fifth to capture all the action ourselves.

When the first "Sex" was shooting, I wondered if seeing so many of the outfits ahead of time would lessen the impact of the movie when it came out. Of course, it didn't....I loved seeing every single outfit on the big screen. I remember the advance screening that people here in the office went to and our jaws were dropped the whole time as we sat there in awe of Patricia Field.

I'm sure it will be the same the second time around. I look forward to seeing all the outfits, not once but TWICE - both while they are shooting the film and then again in the theater. Nothing like a little Carrie Bradshaw to get your fashion creative juices going...again.
