PARIS, France -- The Obamas are heading to the City of Lights this weekend for a little family time.

The First Family will spend the weekend in Paris, France -- the first trip to the French capitol for the Obama daughters -- Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.

According to European media reports, the family visit is the most eagerly anticipated trip since President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy hit the cosmopolitan city in 1961, for an official visit, according to Britain's Telegraph newspaper.

The Obamas are expected to take in the views of one of the most romantic European cities by dining at the top of the Eiffel Tower, at the Jules Verne restaurant, the paper reported.

The Obamas trip is not just a brief family summer vacation. Saturday marks the 65th anniversary of the Allies D-Day invasion in France.

While the president is having such a good time with all the passengers on his big ego trip, who and I mean who is flying the plane? USA is so far in debt that your children will be slaves to your creditors for the rest of their lives. Mean while north korea is preparing to nuke you and he is at the movies with the wife and kids. It is like nero playing the fiddle while rome is buning down.

K-9 the only phony is the wanna be pretender in office that tries to side with popular majority. He won't make a decision and let the American people know about it if it's unpopular. If you want to learn something useful and stop acting like you know something take a trip to the South. Hard working Americans paying for your college, food stamps, and mortgage.

Uh, K-9, you obviously don't follow politics. The Conservatives are a different branch of the Republican party. And no they did not go along with everything. Does the Mexican border debate ring a bell? Bush sided with the Liberals on that and many CONSERVATIVES detached from him after that. Go do your homework little boy. Phonies? Like the Dems who now side with the Repubs on Gitmo?

Yes, it's great that Obama is the first biracial President but I can't abide people fawning over him and his family. The Obama's are praised for their parenting, how they dress and for going out on dates or family trips among other things. I haven't and won't idolize politicians or celebrities. I thought they empathize with the commoners, yeah, right.
