    On the set of Lovelace in Los Angeles Wednesday, Sarah Jessica Parker suited up for her newly acquired role as feminist icon Gloria Steinem in the biopic about the story of '70s porn star Linda Lovelace.

    It was just announced Friday that the Sex and the City actress, 46, would replace Demi Moore in the film. The news came just four days after Moore was rushed to the hospital when a 911 call detailed the star, 49, had collapsed in her L.A. home.

    After dropping from the cast's roster, Moore's publicist confirmed that the star is now getting professional help.

    "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her rep told Deadline. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."

    Parker joins lead actress Amanda Seyfried (who plays the role of Linda Lovelace), James Franco and Peter Sarsgaard in the Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman-directed flick.

      She does not look at all like Gloria Steinem. What was the make-up artist (?) thinking???? In addition, Sarah J. Parker is an extremely over-rated actress.

        The make-up artist was probably thinking, "How am I going to make this horse face look like Steinem", or maybe who did I #$%$ off to get this job, and who do I have to blow to get out of it??

        She probably did not want her agent to bid on the post. The movie is about Lovelace, you know. That may have had something to do with it. Sharon Stone would have been better for the role. Why not an "unknown."

      Demi is better choice. Sara after Sex and the City just doesn't fit the bill of Gloria Steinem. It will not be believable with Sara the most materialist girl image on the planet. I respect Gloria and would prefer just about any actress play her part rather than Sara.

      SJP has a cutsy, girly-girl kind of voice...Gloria has a more no nonsense, deep, macho sort of voice....they look nothing alike....(hope that's makeup that has made her eyes so weird looking, and NOT plastic surgery...if it is, she's ruined her face!) She's going to have to be a better than good actress to make this role believable....I'm not sure why she would take a role in such a trashy film, anyway....is she THAT desperate for a job?

      Sorry, but she's not the best choice. First, she just does not look like Gloria, and second, her high-pitched voice will not match Gloria's either. They should have waited for Demi to come back.

      I am so glad Sarah J. Parker is a so much better actress and now I will buy the film. Never did think Demi Moore was a good sctress. She could make the film come to life.
