USA Today has the first peek of Angelina Jolie in the upcoming CIA thriller Salt.

Jolie, 33, plays Evelyn A. Salt, who is believed to be a Russian sleeper spy set out to assassinate the president. ( Liev Schreiber plays her boss.)

Jolie -- who will shoot in New York and Washington -- begins filming today.

"She's a character you never know," producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura tells USA Today. "People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she's in a disguise also may or may not."

That's why she has many different looks in the film, including a soft-looking blonde and a raven-haired femme fatale "who easily could be concealing a dagger or a gun," USA Today notes.

Adds di Bonaventura, "You're supposed to be kept guessing. She tells you her agenda, but are you supposed to believe it?"

Tom Cruise was originally eyed for the role, but he dropped out last summer.

Changing the script was "complex," di Bonaventura says. "We had to rethink the whole notion of how a man vs. a woman operates in the business world, in personal relationship and in friendships."

The film opens in 2010.

After shooting wraps, Jolie has said she's going to take a break from acting.

"I like being home a lot," the mother of six told BBC News. "First and foremost, I have a lot of children, and I need to make sure they're growing right and they've got us there for them."

    Angelina Jolie:- her lower lip sticks out when she speaks and she has to try hard to avoid the saliva from spilling, she has a big head out of proportion to the body, especially the skinny legs with ugly spastic straight calves with no muscles or flesh on the inside, the veins on the feet and dangling hands look like a skeleton’s, tattoos are trashy.

    Angelina Jolie: - thick smelly looking blubber lips, big wide mouth, splayed smelly looking teeth, nose too short and awkward gradient, chin lengthened by plastic surgery, eyes look scheming, fierce, possessive, manipulating, psycho, try looking beyond the thick fake eyelining and mascara, without the long curly hair the real ugliness comes out.
