The final film in the "Twilight" franchise opened up with a bang at the domestic box office. "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" pulled in a little over $141 million over the three-day weekend, making it the second-largest opening in the franchise. "New Moon" beat this opening by a little more than $1 million back in 2009. Still, this is a massive opening for the series finale, and there is no doubt that many more box office dollars will come in the weeks ahead. There is a real chance that this movie could cross the $300 million threshold, which would give it a shot at being the most successful film in the entire franchise. Of course, that might be bittersweet for some "Twilight" fans that aren't crazy about parting ways with their favorite characters. Still, those loyal fans should keep their heads held high because the three main actors are sure to be visible in movies for years to come. Here is a look at what lies ahead for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner
With his role as Edward behind him, Robert has plenty of movies on the horizon. The actor, who has already branched out with solid roles in movies like "Cosmopolis" and "Water for Elephants," will appear in several movies in 2013. His most notable film might be "Queen of the Desert," in which he will take on the classic role of T.E. Lawrence. The star will also appear in the thriller "Mission: Blacklist," which focuses on the capture of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. In addition, Robert is slated to co-star with Guy Pierce in "The Rover."
Kristen Stewart
Her turbulent relationship with Robert aside, Kristen has plenty of options for her next project. Unlike her on-again, off-again boyfriend, she doesn't have a lot of projects lined up. Of course, her talent and star power almost guarantee that she will be busy soon. She already proved that she could carry another blockbuster when she starred in the hit movie "Snow White and the Huntsman" earlier this year, and she is known to do the occasional independent film. The actress has reportedly been cast in the Ben Affleck movie "Focus," and is being courted to appear in some other films. She has been tied to a movie called "Lie Down in Darkness" as well as a "Snow White" sequel.
Taylor Lautner
Taylor became a superstar thanks to his role as Jacob, but he has had less success than his co-stars outside of the "Twilight" franchise. However, he should get a boost when he appears in the 2013 comedy sequel "Grown Ups 2" with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Kevin James. The star will also appear in the action flick "Tracers," and is reportedly interested in stepping behind the camera.
