Farrah Abraham would like us to think that her explicit sex tape was just an innocent thing she set up for her own memories, but is anyone really buying it?
Not really - and especially not now, considering that the former "Teen Mom" star first tried to break into the adult entertainment world as a spokeswoman for SeekingArrangement.com.
The CEO of SeekingArrangement - a dating website that bills itself as "the #1 site for mutually beneficial arrangements" - said that Abraham twice attempted to start a business relationship with the company.
"We've had the opportunity to work with Farrah more than once," said Brandon Wade, Founder & CEO of SeekingArrangement.com. "But we could tell that Farrah wasn't coming to us for the right reasons. She was just looking for a quick pay off, not a lasting mutually beneficial arrangement."
According to SeekingArrangement, Abraham first approached the company in July 2012 and asked for five-figure fees to show up for events. The company balked at the idea because it seemed like she was "money hungry" with "no vested interest in participating in the sugar lifestyle."
So, they said no.
Abraham's agent again reached out to the company last month - right after the sex tape rumors started - and asked for more fees to show up for events.
They said no again.
Don't feel bad, Farrah. SeekingArrangement also turned down another notorious mom, Nadya "Octomom" Suleman.
Farrah Abraham Defends Her Porn Video
Abraham probably won't admit that she tried other avenues at a payday before her on-camera sex romp with James Deen. Instead, she's telling us that she made the tape to celebrate her body and cure her depression.
"This is something that never should've been talked about publicly," she told "Entertainment Tonight" earlier this week.
So, why did she end up selling it for a reported "high six figure" sum? To take the power back from Deen after he blabbed about it to the media?
What's Next for Farrah Abraham?
So, can we expect a full-fledged porn career from the Iowa mom? She says no, adding that all of the money will go toward her future.
"My plan for the future, number one, is opening up my restaurants," she told "ET."
"From there, it's just creating a great environment for my daughter, so a home, a nice neighborhood. Her college is already paid for, that I've taken care of."
The CEO of SeekingArrangement said he thinks the reality star will ultimately regret her choice.
"It saddens me to think that Farrah believed her actions would lead to a path of empowerment and self esteem," Wade said, adding that she could've been a role model for teen moms everywhere. "But instead she chose the 'back door' to financial security, and she will soon come to realize that a lot of doors will be closed to her now because of it."
