NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana -- Britney Spears took the stage Tuesday night for her first tour in five years -- and according to fans, it was worth the wait.

AccessHollywood.com caught up with some of lucky fans who witnessed Brit's big top night at the New Orleans Arena for the first night of her "The Circus Starring Britney Spears " tour.

"She was amazing and she looked like she was having a blast the entire time. I haven't seen the spark that she had last night in a very long time! The 'it factor' that she lost is totally back," super-fan Jonte' DePhillips told Access.

Corey Legendre, also a big fan of the pop princess, agreed.

"She was amazing, very confident!" he said, adding that he was impressed with Britney's newly toned body. "In top shape!"

Nicholas Landry was in agreement.

"She looked awesome!" he said. "You can definitely tell she's been working hard."

Brit fan Daniel Jones was blown away by "Circus" just like his fellow concertgoers, and enjoyed the carnival feel of the night.

"The theme was cool and lends itself to cool props, costumes, and mini 'acts' to keep you on your feet between set change," he said of her stage show, which featured acrobatics, illusions, stunning costumes designed by DSquared2 - and of course many of Britney's biggest hits, including "Womanizer," "Toxic" and "I'm A Slave 4 U."

Jonte' was also impressed with Brit's acrobatics stunts .

"She was fearless in the air and was doing tricks of her own!" she said.

All off the fans Access talked with said there were no apparent glitches during the show, and the entire 90-minute concert went off without a hitch.

As for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton 's introduction video - another success, according to Nick.

"Perez's video was awesome!" Nick told Access. "It was really good, and really great to see him back her up and do that."

Corey felt Perez's video was an ode to other artists, calling it " Annie Lennox meets Rupaul meets Marilyn Manson ."

The fans' only disappointment was that Britney did not have any banter with the audience. The pop star only thanked the crowd at the end of the show and said she loved New Orleans.

The fans AccessHollywood.com spoke to weren't the only ones weighing in on "Circus." Social networking site Twitter was full of tweets from the floor of the New Orleans Arena.

"To all the critics she looks amazing and is very much singing live! She sounds amazing!!" Twitter user filmmaker311 wrote during the show.

"Britney is back full force!" Twitter user singlemomindebt wrote. "Awesome concert! One of the best ever! She thanked us and said she loves New Orleans."

Daniel agreed with Brit's Twitter fans, adding, "Britney is back as a great entertainer!"

"The Circus Starring Britney Spears " tour continues Thursday night in Atlanta.
