Emily Maynard has found "Bachelor" heartbreak for the second time. Reports have confirmed that Emily has split from Jef Holm, the man she chose in the eighth season of "The Bachelorette" over Arie Luyendyk. "I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," she said through a statement. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision." Emily previously split from Brad Womack, the man that chose her as the winner of "The Bachelor" in 2011. News of the latest "Bachelor" break-up can't come as a shock. Here is a look at some of the other recent splits involving "Bachelor" couples.
Ben and Courtney
Ben Flajnik finished in second place on "The Bachelorette," but he got a second chance when he was the main player on "The Bachelor." Ben chose to give his final rose to Courtney Robertson, and the two were promptly engaged. However, the two confirmed their split just a few months after the show's 16th season ended. "After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship," said the couple in a statement earlier this month. "The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers." Later reports indicated that Courtney was already hooking up with Arie, the last man standing before Emily chose Jef on "The Bachelorette."
Jake and Vienna
In 2010, Jake Pavelka gave his final rose to marketing rep Vienna Girardi. A few months later, the couple went from being engaged to being ex-lovers. The couple released a statement asking for privacy at the time of the split, but no real reason was given. Eventually, rumors swirled that Vienna was cheating on Jake. However, she denied those allegations via Twitter. She passionately wrote, "The accusations of me cheating are completely fabricated. 100% false." Whatever the reasons are, the couple never rekindled their romance.
Ali and RobertoAli, who eliminated herself during Jake's season of "The Bachelor," got another chance on the sixth season of "The Bachelorette." Ali and Roberto seemed to be going strong for a while, but numerous wedding delays prompted speculation that they would split. Sure enough, the couple confirmed the end of their relationship late last year. This past March, Ali admitted that they were simply unhappy as a couple. "We were really trying to make it work, and realizing it wasn't getting better," she said at the time.
