He's at it again!
Elton John took his disdain for Madonna to new heights recently, when he compared her to a "f--king fairground stripper." According to E! Online, the singer dished the dig in an interview with the Australian TV show "Sunday Night" in the aftermath of her controversial shows in Paris that featured swastikas and nipple-flashing.
"She's such a nightmare," the "Candle In The Wind" singer said of Madge. "Her career's over."
But while Elton's feud with Madonna is legendary (he famously accused her of lip-synching back in 2004), he's not the only celeb who has dared to diss the Queen of Pop.
When the British journalist landed a high-profile gig as a CNN talk show host in 2011, he famously banned the pop star from his show, "Piers Morgan Tonight." Calling her "an irritant in my life for the past 20 years," Morgan told Britain's Daily Express: "She is so boring. She is too vegan for TV. We have Lady Gaga now so Madonna is banned from my show."
The actress told the French magazine Gala that the pop singer took a risk when she adopted her son David Banda from Malawi due to the African country's sketchy adoption laws. "Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born," Jolie was quoted as saying. "In that country, there isn't really a legal framework for adopting. Personally, I prefer to stay on the side of the law." Jolie later told People magazine that she wasn't criticizing Madonna for adopting a child from Malawi. "All that should count is the happiness of her little David," the actress said.
While hosting NBC's "NFL Honors," actor Alec Baldwin cracked a joke about confusing Madonna with Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews at the 2012 Super Bowl. "I was confused by the hair and biceps," he said, pretending that he wasn't sure if he saw the linebacker or the pop singer, who was slated to perform at the halftime show.
And speaking of the Super Bowl, rocker Gene Simmons had a few choice words about Madonna's halftime show with sidekicks Nicki Minaj and rapper M.I.A. The "Family Jewels" star told TMZ the annual show would be better off with a "real band." (You know, maybe like his band, Kiss, who performed the pregame show back in 1999?) Of Madonna's Super Bowl stint, Simmons sarcastically said, "I love all karaoke singers, I love all the girl singers who get up and sing with tapes ... shame on you!" Simmons did throw Madge a bone, though. He added: "By the way, Madonna's terrific ... I hate the tapes."
