Ellen's 'Just Married' Message

Access Hollywood - August 19, 2008 6:25 PM PDT

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ellen DeGeneres has a message for fans who may have missed the news of her nuptials on Saturday - and one Hollywood star.

"I had a big, big weekend. I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos... this one's taken," she wrote on her Web site on Tuesday.

"You may notice something different about the way I'm writing...it's fancy," she continued, writing in an italicized font.

"This is the font I type in now that I'm MARRIED!" she wrote. "I do a lot of things differently now ...I say 'I do' a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning."

Though photos of the wedding will appear in the new issue of People, more pictures and video of the intimate wedding will be shared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this fall.

"The wedding was everything we hoped it would be," she said. "I wish I could've invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8th. I can't wait to see them too...it was all a blur. See you then."

The happy spouse ended with the salutation, "Blissfully yours, the just married Mrs. DeGeneres."

well i guess when jesus comes he will be able to tell us himself what he thinks about the whole issue. until then leave the judging to god. besides, i would gladly spend the rest of eternity in hell if it meant sharing my life with the person i loved

evangelin, just where in any of my posts do i speak of, or even imply, hatred?? like you, i don't condone homosexuality. does that mean i hate? if so, then i guess you do, too. to repeat - it goes against nature. PERIOD. sure, people can love each other, but SEX (homosexuality) between 2 same-sex people is just wronng. you agreed. so what's the beef??

I know what I don't condone. This whole thing is just plain NASTY. There's nothing cute about it. When will people understand that? When Jesus comes? But then it will be too late.

Pamela G, I don't condone homosexuality but I also don't condone hatred either. Your words come across as such. God wanted us to love each other no matter what. Who in here is so perfect that they can call the shots on others? No one-not me either. I suggest that you pray for those you think are going against what's rught and don't slam them. Maybe you weren

i never said marriage was only for procreation, nor that lesbians must have children, nor that marriage is only about having children. you've taken my point to levels i never intended nor stated. sorry, but i stand by my belief that homosexuality is perversely against nature's intent. peace.

when i'm wrong, i admit it & take my lumps. i was shocked to find on the net that there is, indeed, evidence of homosexual behavior in animals. but does that make it right? no. if we were meant to have either-sex partners, we'd all be born with male/female sex organs. sound absurd? exactly. my original point was, it's not what nature intended. more...
