More drama for Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The View cohost -- who sparks controversy for her conservative opinions -- is being sued by an author who claims Hasselbeck, 32, stole her book idea.

Self-published author Susan Hassett states in a federal lawsuit filed in Boston that Hasselbeck infringed on her copyrights by publishing a book on Celiac Disease called The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide last month, the Boston Herald reports.

Check out the day's top news photos.

A statement on behalf of Center Street and Hasselbeck read: "Neither Center Street nor Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been served with the Complaint in this action. However, there is no basis for the allegations in the Complaint as published in the press. Ms. Hasselbeck worked diligently and tirelessly on her book and is disappointed in this attempt to discredit her work and her ability to bring this important message to the public."

"This week a claim was filed with regard to my book THE G-FREE DIET. I assure you that the allegations are without merit, and are being handled appropriately," Hasselbeck added to Us in a separate statement.

Hasselbeck -- who is pregnant with her third child -- recently announced she suffers from Celiac Disease, which damages the small intestine and interferes with nutrient absorption.

The talk show host -- who discovered she had the disorder after appearing on Survivor -- cannot eat gluten (found in wheat, rye and barley) as a result.

I am glad for her. Hasselbeck may not be the brightest and most articulate person, but the Lefties hate her because she's wholesome, good-looking, sexy, and religious as opposed to the many drab and dumpy Lefty girls. She also does not buy into their nonsense about gay marriage and similar group-think.

As other Celiac sufferers, I appreciate her bringing the issue to light, even if I don't agree with anything else about her!

I think Elisabeth does a great job. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I enjoy watching her on the view. Hope she stays around for a long time. The republicans need her. Congratulations on your new baby boy.

I do disagree with mostly everything she says on the show. Why is she still on the show? I do see her as a jealous, vindictive poor sport But the ladies on the show tell her off very well.

People just grow up. At least when she makes comments about others, they are factual. She is strong and conservative and doesn't change her point of "view" just because it's the cool thing... Stop hating woman for being themselves. SHE'S GREAT!
