ELIMINATION EMOTIONS
The first part of the Tuesday night elimination shows, you forget
that someone really has to leave until you get out there and youre
like "Oh, someone
is leaving tonight!" For a split second
last week, I thought we were going home. [Producers] told us
backstage that it was a surprise elimination and when Lacey
[Schwimmer] and I were one of the last four couples left standing
before the elimination, I thought it would be us!
I "KISSED A GIRL"...BUT PRODUCERS TOLD ME TO!
As for our song choice this week -
Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" -
we had to [perform to] what the producers assigned us. We gave them
a list of, like, 500 songs before the show and they have to clear
them, so what we dance to depends on whatever clears. We find out
what we're dancing to after each results show. We knew it was a
risk, but we can't help what we're given. I was excited when they
told us, though. We like to poke fun at ourselves - the song was
very fitting.
TONIGHT, WE WALTZ
I've never really seen the Viennese waltz [performed], but that's
what we're dancing to tonight. I think Lacey and I are finally
going to bring some diversity to our dancing this week - especially
with this dance - because there's
no way you can look
hip-hopish doing it! And we have a slow song, Marc Broussard's "Let
Me Leave," which was my first choice of a song to dance to.
TEAM LANCEY GO DANCIN' FOR ELLEN
This week, Lacey and I took time out of our rehearsal schedule to
appear on
The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed our
cha-cha. Ellen didn't offer dancing advice, but she's supporting
us. I also did a radio promo tour, appeared on
Good Day L.A.
and was on
Adam Carolla's radio show. One night last week, Lacey
and I also went to see the
So You Think You Can Dance tour
in L.A. There's
never a slow week with
Dancing With the
Stars. Learning the choreography is the
least work we do
all week! [ABC] keeps us so busy doing interviews and taped
packages for the episodes. That's what really makes me tired. It
reminds me of my *NSYNC days!
