Comedian Jeffrey Ross says being the first to be eliminated off Dancing With the Stars' new season is "so tough."

"I'm heartbroken," he told Usmagazine.com shortly after he was given the boot. "I really loved learning to dance. I was confident by the time we got to the routines."

See what the new Dancing With the Stars cast looked like before they hit the dance floor.

His ousting hardly came as a surprise: On Monday's show, he received the lowest score - a 12.

He also had suffered a scratched cornea after his partner Edyta Sliwinska accidentally poked him during a rehearsal Monday.

"It hurts!" he told Us.

Pointing to his eye patch, he added, "But I accessorized - you've got to work with what you've got. I feel like I had a lot of solidarity with the eye patch tonight.

"My family came from very far away to support me," he went on. "My uncle said, 'No matter what happens, just keep going, and try to look confident.'"

Ross told Us he hasn't hung up his dancing shoes for good. "I was born to dance!" he said. "Don't worry, I'll keep dancing!"
