DWTS' Denise Richards: "I Didn't Think I Was Going"

Denise Richards tells Usmagazine.com she wasn't expecting to be given the boot on Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars.

Due to their low scores Monday, Richards and Holly Madison ended up in the bottom two and were forced to take part in the new DWTS elimination format, the dance-off. (Viewer votes are what kept low-scoring Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and his partner, Karina Smirnoff , on the show.)

After Richards and Madison both danced the samba for the second time Tuesday, Richards scored two points higher from judges, but Madison had more viewer votes and got to stay on the show.

"I really didn't think I was going," Richards said on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! "I wished I lasted longer."

But Richards told Us she is pleased with the way she went out.

"The audience response was so gracious and so great," she told Us. "Everyone was very, very supportive. I'm just so happy for everyone else who gets to continue, and who would've thought that Steve and Karina would be in? I'm so happy for them. He loves the show and is having fun."

Now that Richards is off the show, her partner Makism Chmerkovskiy, who is engaged to Smirnoff, has a message for fans.

"Vote Steve and Karina!" he told Us.

Meanwhile, Madison still can't believe she'll be around for another week.

What will she do differently?

"Not party again like I did last week!" she joked to Us. "We're just going to work really hard and work on my footwork and technique. Hopefully the tango's easier than the samba!"

HA HA Denise- stay home with your girls where you belong!!! Im so glad that horrible excuse for a mother got booted. Interesting how she got a higher score than Holly yet lost b/c AMERICA voted against her. Why? b/c americans who care about kids dont like irresponsible, skanky parents like Britney and Denise!

I am really loosing interest in the show. I loved Steve on Kathy Griffin, but this was not a good match for him or his image. Makim did not help his partner by going public with his comments about Melissa. There have been many athletic and physically poised contestants participate past competitions. Maybe it is a good thing that he is sitting this one out. Talent should be gracious.

I know the show is about dancing but Steve Wozniak does not deserve to go yet. Give him credit he may not be able to dance well but he is giving it 110% and is having a ball and taking all the horrible criticism the judges have been giving him with a big smile on his face because he is really enjoying it.

I'm waiting for all Yahoo's reporters to tell how gorgeous Denise is(NOT). She has given us all a glimpse of what's in her panties, so it can't be that.
