The woman whose husband left her for LeAnn Rimes seemed oblivious to the happy couple seated behind her on matching umbrella-covered chairs at her son's soccer game this weekend, but who knows what was going on behind her super-sized Hollywood sunglasses.
According to Us Weekly, Brandi Glanville was upset that her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, had banned the couple's two sons from appearing on this year's episodes of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
This will be the former model's second season on the show and, possibly, her first as a full-fledged housewife after being just a friend. Last year, the uninhibited Brandi caused a brouhaha when one of her son's peed on Adrienne Maloof's lawn at a pool party and was called out by Kyle Richards for not teaching her boy better manners.
Whether the incident embarrassed the "Playboy Club" star, who split from his wife after meeting Rimes on a movie set, is hard to say. The unemployed actor may want to keep the paparazzi focused solely on him and his second wife, who are endlessly photographed engaging in PDA or wearing each other's gaudy gifts (Rimes receive a humongous green-stoned ring from Cibrian for surviving the one-year mark).
Hardly one to mince words, the new BFF of the Beverly Hills mean girls launched a Twitter attack on her ex. "Funny no one really knew or knows my work status and after on talk woith (sic) my ex husband its splattered all over the internet #leakmuch?" Glanville was implying Eddie had secretly told a reporter she would not achieve full housewife status on the Bravo TV show if her boys could not be filmed, a factoid disputed by
the mad-as-a-hornet mama.
But, unfortunately for Glanville, she was distracted by an attack on another front, this time from Giuliana Rancic. While remarking on a picture of Rimes rocking a bikini, the "Fashion Police" star said of Eddie's current wife on the Joan Rivers' b****fest, "I used to totally poo-poo this relationship (Eddie and LeAnn's), and then I watched his ex-wife on the Real Housewives. She is nuts."
Caught by surprise by the "pregnant" panelist's insult, Glanville tweeted, "It's sad cuz I've been rooting 4her through her illness. Hopefully her man doesn't leave her & give her surrogate baby to a bonus mom." (After being treated for breast cancer, Rancic and her "Apprentice"-winner husband are expecting a baby via a surrogate mother.)
Though Brandi's fans tweeted support for her searing comeback, a member of Camp Giuliana called her "horrible" and "hypocritical" for attacking the E! anchor for having an opinion.
Glanville coolly replied, "What I said was honest not mean.once you become a mother u really see things differently when it comes to cheating."
Meanwhile, followers of the Glanville-Cibrian-Rimes love/hate triangle are eagerly awaiting Mother's Day when LeAnn's cloying tweets about being a bonus mom will launch a new online war of words.
