LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The family of Adam Goldstein, AKA DJ AM, has thanked the late star's fans for their support in the wake of his death last week.
"We appreciate the kind words and support for Adam over the past few days," they wrote on DJ AM's MySpace page.

The family further encouraged fans to make charitable donations to the National MS Society, Southern California Chapter, or to Friendly House instead of sending flowers.
The DJ, a Las Vegas favorite who had dated celebrities including Mandy Moore and Nicole Richie, and survived a fatal plane crash last September, was found dead in New York City last Friday. He was 36.
