Diane Kruger's Fave Designer Jason Wu is Launching a Collection at Target!

Can't afford Diane Kruger's designer duds? Well now there's nothing to fret about!

The star's BFF, Jason Wu, whose dresses she regularly wears on the red carpet, is the next fashion designer teaming up with Target on a budget-friendly lineup of apparel, accessories and handbags.

"By working with Target I was able to create an accessible collection that reflects my sophisticated design aesthetic," the New York-based designer, 29, said in a statement. "As with my main collection, special attention has been considered into every detail and I can't wait to see girls wearing and enjoying the collection."

In addition to Kruger, Wu's celeb following includes First Lady Michelle Obama, who donned his ivory one-shoulder gown at the 2009 Inaugural Ball. The whimsical garment later made history when it went on display at the Smithsonian National Museum in Washington, D.C. March 2010.

"This gown is a masterpiece," Obama has said about the dress. "It is simple, it's elegant, and it comes from this brilliant young mind, someone who is living the American Dream."

In the meantime, fashion bloggers and websites are dreaming and foaming at the mouth in anticipation over his 53-piece collection that will hit Target stores and Target.com February 5. The "American girl in Paris"-inspired pieces will range in price from $19.99 to $59.99.

But the real question is, does Jason Wu for Target have the the star power to shut things down, a la Missoni for Target?

Back in September, demand for the Italian label's 400-piece collection for the store shut down Target.com servers and cleared the shelves in select Target stores carrying the colorful zig-zag designs, with celebs like Emma Roberts, Camilla Belle and Kyle Richards also getting in on the coveted merch. (Some pieces even ended up on eBay, selling for astronomical prices!)

From the comments I've seen on Facebook, this collection is not getting a friendly response.
